Sussex Centre for Cultural Studies

Working paper series

The Sussex Centre for Cultural Studies is launching an exciting new online scholarly publication this academic year. The SCCS Working Paper Series will provide a platform for scholars from SCCS to publish their work in progress, increasing the visibility of cultural studies at Sussex across the university and beyond. The dynamic format of the Working Paper Series will combine the traditional closed review journal process with an open access peer review system, allowing those who submit their work to get feedback from scholars across a range of disciplines and Universities.

The Sussex Centre for Cultural Studies Working Paper Series (SCCS WPS) is an open access peer-review scholarly publication which will launch next year. It is a joint endeavour between established scholars and doctoral students.

The Sussex Centre for Cultural Studies Working Paper Series aims to:

 * Function as a platform for members of the SCCS to present work in progress and receive feedback.
 * Foster pedagogic values of openness and cooperation in the research community working within the School of Media, Film and Music.
 * Encourage thorough review and discussion.
 * Aid rapid publication and feedback on ideas.
 * Increase the visibility of the authors in the field of cultural studies within and beyond the University of Sussex.
