Biography

Before coming to Sussex Dr Edmunds was a Lecturer and Senior Research Fellow in Development Studies at the University of Cambridge.  She has a PhD from the London School of Economics in political relations between Europe and the Middle East and an LLM in human rights (with Distinction) from Birkbeck, University of London. Her research interests include development, human rights, citizenship, elites, cosmopolitanism and racism from an interdisciplinary approach.
