I loved studying at Sussex; and CDE had the best reputation in the country for studying Migration in a multi-disciplinary manner.
During the dissertation element of the course I obtained an internship with the Policy Network, a progressive Think Tank. It was my role to provide research support to the Migration Working Group of the Progressive Governance Conference in 2003. I made valuable contacts and gained some first hand experience of the policy making process which was valuable for my dissertation. At the end of the conference I was offered a place on the Labour Party trainee scheme where I learnt about running political campaigns. ...
The reason that I have been able to do all of this is because of the confidence I gained during my Masters and the initial internship provided by the knowledge I gained at Sussex. |
