Biography

Paul Bowen Q.C. (Call, 1993; QC, 2012) is a barrister at Brick Court Chambers in London and a former solicitor at Clifford Chance.  He is recommended in the Legal 500 and Chambers & Partners 2016 as a leading silk in Public and Administrative Law and Civil Liberties and Human Rights.  Paul divides his time between commercial public law work and high profile human rights work, acting for claimants, defendants and interveners.  He has appeared in the Supreme Court or House of Lords on thirteen occasions, four as leading counsel, and in the Privy Council on seven occasions, twice as leading counsel.  In 2015 Paul was appointed to the new ‘A’ Panel of Counsel to the Equality and Human Rights Commission (EHRC) and he is also a Visiting Professor at Sussex University Law School.
