Biography
Wendy graduated from Bristol University in 1980 and qualified as a Solicitor in 1983. She practises as a Solicitor specializing in Criminal Defence. In 2010, Wendy commenced a Masters Degree in International Criminal Law at Sussex University, passing with Distinction in 2011. Her Masters dissertation was entitled 'Do It Yourself: A Critical Analysis of Self-Referrals to the International Criminal Court'. She commenced a PhD in International Criminal Law in October 2011, her area of interest being whether alternative justice mechanisms such as Truth and Reconciliation Commissions, Mato Oput and Gacaca satisfy the requirements of international criminal justice.

Wendy is a practising Criminal Defence lawyer in Worthing, West Sussex, specializing in serious crimes.

Wendy is an Associate Tutor in the law of Tort, with responsibility for eight seminar groups of first year undergraduates. She also lectures on the Tort element of the Business Law Course.
Student Consultation
Wendy can be found in the Law Research Students room in Friston (Room 246) at various times during the week and her office hour during term time is Thursday between 11am an 12 noon, Friston Room 269. She can also be contacted by email.
