University of Sussex
12-14 April 2011
The Sussex Law School at the University of Sussex is delighted to be hosting the Socio-Legal Studies Association (SLSA) Annual Conference 2011. The conference will take place in the Fulton Building, which is a new and central location within the university's beautiful parkland campus. The campus has excellent public transport links and is just nine minutes by train from the centre of Brighton.
A particular hallmark of the University of Sussex is interdisciplinarity and this figures highly in the research agenda of the Sussex Law School, which is situated in the School of Law, Politics and Sociology. The emphasis on interdisciplinarity is also reflected in the Law School’s research groupings, which operate in the broad areas of constitutionalism and citizenship, solidarity, security, and responsibilities and rights. Work of faculty within the Law School’s Centre for Responsibilities, Rights and the Law explores the importance and limits of human rights, and the growing allocation and content of responsibilities in domestic, European and international law.
We look forward to welcoming you to the University of Sussex and trust that both the programme and the location will ensure that those attending the 2011 Conference find it a rewarding and stimulating experience. You can now register to attend the Conference.
