Postgraduate study

Informatics at Sussex is a leading centre for the study of computer science and interdisciplinary applications of computing. We are proud to have a thriving, well-resourced postgraduate community from a wide variety of countries and backgrounds.

We offer a range of taught postgraduate courses leading to a Master of Science (MSc) degree. MSc courses can be studied full time or part time. Our courses reflect our interdisciplinary approach to teaching, and are taught by academics with leading expertise in the relevant area.

We welcome applications from well-qualified graduates wishing to study for a PhD or an MPhil. Research areas include computer science, artificial intelligence, bio-inspired computing, cognitive science, digital media technologies, and human-computer interaction. For more information, see:
