The University Library stocks over 750,000 books and receives more than 2,500 periodicals from all over the world (about 11,000 new books are added every year). The Library holds several collections of papers relating to the Bloomsbury Group, including correspondence of Virginia Woolf and several collections of papers relating to Rudyard Kipling. The Library is also home to the Mass-Observation Archive. This archive has an international reputation and is used by scholars from around the world.
