The Economics PhD conference is an annual event at which our PhD students give presentations to their fellow students and staff in the Department, often with guest speakers from other institutions.

The Department of Economics held its Third Economics Annual PhD Conference on 11 November 2011. Professor Francis Teal from Oxford attended the conference together with the faculty members from the Department.
Both Professor Teal and the faculty members gave critical, valuable comments and advises to the PhD students who presented their work. After the conference, Professor Teal remarked "I greatly enjoyed the conference and thought the standard of the presentations very high".
