Centre for the Study of Sexual Dissidence

Reading Group

“I’ve been to reading groups in the past where people spend their time name-dropping, trying to impress and talking in a way that others in the group find impenetrable. But the general spirit in Sex Diss is not like that at all – nobody is arrogant, nobody knows it all – everybody can be part of the conversation. The people are really cool, open minded and different.”
- Beatrice Châteauvert-Gagnon, PhD Student

Whether you are studying on our MA, researching related topics at the University or are just living nearby and have a passion for learning more about sexuality you are welcome to attend our reading group. The group is graduate student-led and is a friendly and informal space that brings together a diverse collection of people to keep up to date on the latest developments in queer studies.
