Academic Programmes

MA in Music and Sonic Media

The MA in Music and Sonic Media offers students the opportunity to pursue their own specialist interests within a broad course framework. The programme culminates in the delivery of an individal creative project, for which students will receive specialist supervision in their chosen field.

The course entitled "Music and the Media of Performance" engages specfically with new forms of music theatre performance. Other courses will enable you to investigate the combination of music with visual media and the creation of sound environments and installations, and to develop your compositional skills at whatever level is necessary,

Students interested in engaging with opera or music theatre, or related multi-media or sonic arts forms, will be able to develop their interests through each of the four courses taken by negotiation with the course team.
