Rudd Centre Symposium 2019
Supporting Families, Parents and Children: An Intergenerational Perspective

Aimed at practitioners, policy makers, national and local government, charities, social care professionals, family and child support specialists; this symposium will review the very latest research highlighting family relationship influences on long-term and intergenerational outcomes for children, parents and future families, with a focus on adoption, foster care, looked after children and families/children in transition.

The Government has expressed a firm commitment to improving mental health, emphasising the important role that supportive family relationships play in promoting long-term positive outcomes for children and adolescents.

The symposium will highlight recent practice and policy developments in this area, featuring a broad range of internationally renowned speakers, facilitating the next generation of training and capacity building that will help equip practitioners with the skills required to deliver evidence-based programmes that promote positive impacts for the lives of families, parents and children.
