Update on essential services provided on campus

The University campus is currently partially closed in an attempt to slow down the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic. The vast majority of staff are working from home.

However, the students still housed on campus require vital essential services and we are working hard to ensure that the highest level of provision is provided to campus residents within all possible means.

We have dedicated information on the Student Hub to keep students staying on campus up to date with how to contact our teams if they ever need help and support.

In line with Government recommendations, wherever possible we are providing these services remotely via home working. However, in a number of cases there needs to be a scaled-back staff presence onsite to ensure the health, safety, security and wellbeing of all of our students who remain on campus. These staff are referred to as essential roles.

The University has organised the delivery of these services to protect the health and wellbeing of our onsite ‘essential roles’, recognising that their wellbeing is our responsibility too.

Here are the services still on offer and current staffing arrangements for the duration of the partial closure.
