Connectors Programme
Our
There are a number of ways in which students have been co-creators in their University experience. The Connector programme is a new initiative to ensure the student voice is at the forefront and centre of students’ experience. We have had 35 students working with us in areas such as the Spirit of Sussex Award (SOSA), Student Experience, Residential Life, academic skills, welcome and transition, and language around assessments to help us deliver what students want.
A recruited Connector manager helps to encourage students to have opportunities to contribute regardless of their background. Our connectors are paid and get full training in areas such as social media, writing, platform design and marketing; giving them a fantastic breadth of opportunity to develop and learn.
Our Res Life Connectors worked closely with our team of Residential Advisors to produce this short video to remind students who remained on campus during lockdown they are not alone and to make sure they know where to go for help and support.
