Sussex 2025

A transformative learning experience

The work of the Learn to Transform Network and future strategy activities will help all of us involved in supporting and delivering teaching and assessment practices for years to come.

Kelly Coate talks about the Pedagogic Revolution.

In September 2019, we kick started the Pedagogic Revolution to encourage dialogue for innovative practice. Kelly Coate explains why it's so important for Sussex and for the Learn to transform strategy.

The Learn to Transform Strategy has at its core a central focus on establishing a bold and distinctive Sussex education.

The aim of the inspiring Pedagogic Revolution programme run by Kelly Coate, is for us to reshape our teaching and assessment practices – and pioneer cutting edge innovations in educational pedagogy and learning methods.

AUGUST 2020

Recent events have fast tracked our progress in this area, and in May, the University confirmed it will be progressing with a blended learning approach in the autumn term, with a mix of campus-based teaching and remote learning.

The Technology Enhanced Learning team carried out a revamp of the Learn to Transform Network pages, which offer enhanced opportunity for debate and sharing best practice among faculty.

Our Digital Practice Awards have given staff the opportunity to develop or experiment with new tools, resources or teaching approaches. Participation also demonstrates an active commitment to the development of scholarly practice and to the enhancement of the student experience.
