Your Results
Module results
You will find module results in your Sussex Direct study pages by clicking the 'Module Results' button.
Marks for completed assessments are shown on Sussex Direct as the module progresses with the following exceptions:
- The overall mark for the module is not shown until the end of year results are published. However you can click the links to the individual assessments to see the marks for those assessments.
- Undergraduate marks for assessments submitted or taken during the summer term are published at the same time as end of year results are published.
- Postgraduate marks for final dissertations and projects are published on the same day as the final degree results.
Final award results
The final results of courses are published in two ways:
- Pass lists - are published by each department or school by a prescribed time
- Sussex Direct - degree classifications are shown in your Study Pages on the Programme page
Undergraduate finalists results are published on the last day of the summer term each year.
Taught postgraduate students final results are published within 7 days of the relevant examination board meeting which mostly take place in September and October each year.
Undergraduate end of year results
The end of year results are shown on your module results page in Sussex Direct. The Course Stage Results table gives results for each year of study and shows the Stage Mean (credit weighted mean mark for that stage), the Stage Weight (the amount that stage contributes to your final overall 'Grand Mean' mark on which your degree classification will be based), and the Stage Result.
The Stage Result tells you your situation at the end of the stage of a degree programme (for full-time students a stage is usually equivalent to a year of study).
Accessing your MEC Decisions on Sussex Direct
When you have submitted your MEC Claim through Sussex Direct, you will be able to access any decisions that have been taken using your Mitigating Evidence Web Page. Please download the Accessing MEC Claims through Sussex Direct [128KB] document for further information.
