Examinations Information
Examinations are held in 3 assessment periods for both Postgraduates and Undergraduate Taught Students which are as follows:
- Mid Year Examination and Assessment period – which is held between the Autumn and Spring Terms before teaching begins (2012/13 = Wed 09 Jan 2013 - Fri 18 Jan 2013)
- End of Year Assessment period – this is normally held in the Summer Term when students have completed all their modules, although there may be some teaching for the Postgraduate Students (2012/13 = Mon 13 May 2013 - Fri 14 June 2013)
- Vacation period – Examinations in this period are for the students who are resitting any modules that they failed during the academic year and are held in August / September of each year (2012/13 = Mon 26th Aug 2013 to Fri 06 Sep 2013).

Please note that some exams will be held in more than one room. The actual room you will be in is shown on your timetable in Sussex Direct.
Examinations will all take place on campus at the Sport Centre, Mandela Hall and Mandela Balcony and Bramber House. If you are a candidate with special needs you will be written to, via your Sussex email informing you of the venue for your examinations.
