Welfare drop-ins

If you have immediate welfare concerns we offer access to on the day advice or next day appointments.

Sometimes you may wish to recieve help or advice as soon as possible. If you are concerned about your welfare or wellbeing a meeting with an Advisor may help you manage your issue.  We have drop-in advice sessions available at core times and we reserve some appointments for later in the day or early the next day for students with pressing concerns.

How it Works

Depending on demand and availability, a welfare drop-in can provide immediate advice or we can arrange access to a meeting with a Student Advisor later on in the day or the next morning.

These sessions are not bookable in advance. Come in and someone will arrange for you to be seen as soon as possible. There may be a wait but you will be seen in a private room by an Advisor and they will aim to address your immediate needs and concerns

You can expect to be treated with respect and concern, however, any session where you are immediate distress may not be able to address all your needs, so this can be followed up with a further appointment, if necessary.

Come in or call for more information.

Who You’ll See

You will see the Student Life Advisor staffing the drop-in, when they are available or be booked in to see another Advisor later that day or the next morning this could be any of our Student Life Advisors, all of whom are trained to support students with a range of issues and problems.
