Welcome to The Research Student Administration Office. Our website is aimed at helping research students, supervisors and examiners through all stages of the research degree process.
We are a single point of contact for all administration associated with a research student's journey from registration through to graduation. Our services include:
- Monitoring and recording the academic progress and assessment of research students
- Administration of the examination process from thesis submission to the viva outcome
- Advice to current international research students.
Our website also specifies the minimum standards for a range of activities leading to the award of a research degree at Sussex, and has regulatory status.
All Doctoral Researchers are expected to comply with the University Regulations, and in addition to the information contained in these webpages, should familiarise themselves with the University's Code of Practice for Research, additional research governance policies, and copyright guidance.
