How can I delete or rename a Quick Part in Outlook?

Note that you can only edit or delete existing Quick Parts when Outlook is set to compose in HTML or Rich Text format (see the File menu, select Options, then select Mail, then see the Compose messages panel) - but you can switch back to Plain Text mode after changing or deleting a Quick Part.

  1. Start composing a new message and place the cursor in the body of the email.
  2. Click on the Insert tab and click on Quick Parts so that the list of Quick Parts appears.
  3. Right-click on the list and a menu will appear.
  4. Click on Organise and Delete.
  5. Either click on Edit Properties or Delete.
Only entries with a Gallery type "Quick Parts" will be shown on the Quick Parts list.
  6. Click on Close when complete.
