1645Where can I find LaTex on an IT Services PC?
LaTex is not installed on IT Services PCs, but can be run on our Linux server. On a PC, select Start > All Programs, then click on Exceed on Demand. The LaTex application is called Kile.
You can also run a portable version of MiKteX with an inbuilt tex editor called TeXWorks. This is free to all staff and students.
The current version is available for download from:
To install, copy the whole folder LaTeX to a USB pen drive and run from there. The folder is 306MB so make sure that you have enough disk space.
