World Menopause Day 2024: No time to step back with Helen Tomlinson.
We are thrilled to welcome Helen Tomlinson, Head of Talent at The Adecco Group and the nation's first Menopause Champion, on Monday 14 October online from 3pm to 4pm. Over the past year or so, Helen has made significant strides in this vital role, and she is committed to building on this momentum to create a lasting legacy that will benefit generations to come.
Helen will talk about how she is addressing the critical need for menopause support in the workplace and shares insights into her Four Point Plan, which is actively addressing this need. Helen is deeply passionate about breaking the silence, tackling the stigma, and raising awareness around menopause in professional settings. This issue affects everyone, whether directly or through interactions with colleagues, family members, or friends. Therefore, it is crucial to provide the necessary support in the workplace to ensure no one feels isolated and everyone has access to someone they can talk to. While discussions are becoming more common in the workplace, much work remains to be done. Now is not the time to step back.

Menopause Café in the Meeting House on 3 December from 12 pm to 2 pm.
Book on Eventbrite. This café will be slightly different as I am delighted to share that Dr Laura Kounine, Senior Lecturer in Early Modern History, MAH, will join us to talk about the factors that contributed to the widespread belief in witchcraft and why women, in particular, were more likely to be accused and persecuted. Our usual café will follow on afterwards. Please come along for some or all of it and a mince pie or two!
