Comedians launch Six Degrees in aid of the Sussex Fund

Sara Pascoe (English 2001)

Cariad Lloyd (English 2001)

In April, alumnae Sara Pascoe (English 2001) and Cariad Lloyd (English 2001) will be returning to campus for the inaugural Six Degrees event at the Attenborough Centre for the Creative Arts.

Sara will interview her friend and fellow School of English graduate Cariad, talking about their time at Sussex, their subsequent careers in broadcasting, comedy and writing, as well as the challenges of life in the public eye.

They are generously donating their time for free and all proceeds from the event will go to the Sussex Fund. The Fund gives vital support to students who find themselves in difficulty and have no one else to turn to for help. For example, people struggling with mental health issues or financial hardship.

Sara and Cariad join a growing number of alumni who are getting involved by hosting and speaking at exciting alumni events that support the student experience and make a difference to the lives of current students.

Last autumn, Rachel Demuth and Talia Roberson both hosted exclusive experiential events at their business premises and in February 2019, an exclusive networking event for recent graduates was hosted by Anna Bartle (American Studies, Literature, 1991) at the Estée Lauder Companies headquarters in London.

We are hugely grateful to our all our alumni who give up their time to support our  community. You too can support the Sussex Fund by coming to Six Degrees or by making a gift via our secure online giving web page.
