Size and Shape virtual cross subsidy meeting (22 July 2021)
A key aim of the Size and Shape programme is to enable the University to achieve excellence in education and research – contributing to great outcomes for our students and impact for our research.
In order to do this we need to address how we are allocating our financial resources to achieve these goals. This means taking a close look at our internal funding model – specifically cross subsidy.
To help colleagues understand cross subsidy we ran a virtual event in July 2021, at which Allan Spencer, Director of Finance talked about how cross subsidy works, together with two Heads of School who outlined how cross subsidy is experienced in their local areas in that meeting to help colleagues gain deeper insights into this issue.
