Skillclouds at Sussex
Students and academics at Sussex can use skillclouds via Study Direct
How are we going forward with the Skillclouds project at Sussex?`
Phase 1 of the Skillclouds project was funded by JISC from January to December 2008. In November 2008, we took a paper on the use of Skillclouds to the Undergraduate Teaching and Learning Committee (UTLC). This paper focussed on the use of Skillclouds as a tool to support Academic Advisors (Personal Tutors) in their twice-yearly meetings with students.
Read the paper that went to UTLC outlining the progress to date of the Skillclouds project.
The paper was accompanied by a project proposal to work with all departments within the University by meeting with a number of academic advisors from each department and exploring how SkillClouds could be used to support discussions with students about their skills.
Read the project proposal that went to UTLC.
The Committee approved this plan and freed up funds from the Teaching Quality Enhancement Fund to be used for this project. We have now kicked off Phase 2 of the Skillclouds project!
The current project activities of Phase 2 of the SkillClouds project can be reviewed here:
