Academic Promotions Process 2021

 

The Academic Promotions Process for 2021 is now open.

Applications to the 2020 process will not automatically be re-submitted unless you email academic.promotions@sussex.ac.uk to authorise use of your original application. Please email using the subject heading "Original Application" to confirm if you want your 2020 application, as it stands, to be considered in the 2021 Academic Promotions Process.

All staff can submit either an updated or an entirely new application to be considered in the 2021 process. 

Guidance notes, key documents and forms to assist in the preparation of your application are below. Please read this information carefully as applications that do not follow the guidelines may not be considered. 

In order to support those considering applying for promotion in this years academic promotions round, the University has arranged for two advice and guidance sessions.  These sessions will give details about the process that is being followed, and will include senior academics as panellists who will be able to give advice regarding the evidence and format that will best enhance the application submission. You can find further details and  book a place on one of the sessions here.

Please submit all applications or notifications that a 2020 application is being used to academic.promotions@sussex.ac.uk by 9am on Monday 15 March 2021.

The effective date for all promotions will be 1 October 2021.
