Global Citizens bursaries
The School of Global Studies is proud to provide a range of ‘Global Citizens Bursaries’. Together, these bursaries will enable even more of our students to take advantage of the opportunities on offer - to learn, engage and contribute as Global Citizens beyond the formal classroom. Summer School in Mumbai:
Run in partnership with the Tata Institute for Social Sciences, Mumbai (TISS) and with generous funding from the British Council, Global Studies offers second year undergraduates the opportunity to attend a two week summer school in India.
Nicola Anderson Bursary
Set up in memory of Nicola Anderson, a Sussex student in the 1970s, this bursary is open to all second year International Development and Anthropology students, to fund travel during the summer vacation.
Andrew Francis Pickup Global Citizens Award
This generous award was endowed in memory of Andrew Pickup, a popular and highly regarded doctoral researcher in the Global Studies, and will be available to postgraduate taught students undertaking a Dissertation with Placement.
Santander Bursaries
Available to students taking the module Global Work Experience, these bursaries will provide out of pocket expenses, enabling students to gain work experience in a range of development organisations.
