What’s on offer
Throughout the autumn and spring terms we’ll be running a full programme of virtual workshops and events, including:
- careers skills workshops – run by our careers consultants
- careers fairs – from our Student Jobs and Volunteering Fair, to our annual graduate-level Careers Fair
- employer events – including recruitment talks, skills workshops and drop ins
- Make it Happen and other alumni networking events – Make it Happen takes place in March. Get inspiration and ideas from Sussex graduates and hear about the wide range of career sectors they are now working in. Look out for individual school-specific events, too.

Join us for a dynamic and interactive career World Cafe-style event focused on exploring PGR careers and entrepreneurship.
Are you a post-graduate researcher looking to explore career opportunities after Sussex? Join us for a dynamic and interactive career World Cafe-style event focused on careers and entrepreneurship.
This event is designed to give you the chance to gain insights into different career paths and strategies for success. You'll have the opportunity to participate in a series of small group discussions, each led by a career expert or entrepreneur, covering a range of topics such as career exploration, job search strategies, building a personal brand, networking, and more.
Our World Cafe-style event is a unique and engaging format that encourages open dialogue and collaboration, giving you the chance to learn from your peers as well as from our expert facilitators. You'll leave the event with a better understanding of your career options and the skills and knowledge you need to succeed in your chosen field.
Open to: This event is open to all post-graduate researchers, regardless of discipline or career stage, and is arranged jointly by the Careers and Entrepreneurship Team and The Hive Scholars
