About us

The Careers and Employability Centre is part of Student Services at the University of Sussex. We are members of the Association of Graduate Careers Advisory Services (AGCAS).

Booking an appointment

Appointments with a Careers and Employability Consultant can be booked up to 2 weeks in advance. There are also some on the day appointments which can be booked from 9am on the day. You can book one appointment at a time.

Our service is available to:
  • current students
  • recent Sussex graduates (for three years after graduation)
  • doctoral researchers and contract research staff.
Our service offers:
  • impartial and confidential advice and information
  • support from your first year until three years after graduation
  • access to CareerHub
  • 20-minute appointments with a Careers and Employability Consultant
  • workshops, employer presentations and drop-ins
  • annual Careers Fair and mini recruitment fairs
  • study skills workshops and Skills Hub resources
  • funded opportunities for First-Generation Scholars
  • an accessible information and resource centre.
