Curriculum

The Curriculum Team in AQP has primary responsibility for facilitating quality assurance of the University’s curriculum. The Team plays a key role in ensuring that the academic experience of students at the University is of an appropriately high standard and is aligned with established practice within the Higher Education Sector.

The Curriculum Team has responsibility for the following processes:

  • Approval and validation of new course proposals
  • Withdrawal and suspension of existing courses
  • Curriculum development (including new modules, major module changes, major course changes, title changes)
  • The academic development of Sussex Choice (pathways, electives, placements, study abroad)
  • Periodic Review of the academic provision of the University’s Schools
  • Requests from students to vary their course of study
