Essential insurance for overseas travel

If you will be on Long Term Attachment or Fieldwork, where you will be doing research for your thesis at another institution, go to the LTA/Fieldwork page.

Visit the University's Travel Insurance page which explains the Travel issues involved and how to apply.

You also need to complete the Risk Assessment Form (OTTSRA form) which you can find via the links on the Travel Insurance page.  This should be done first before applying for Travel Insurance as you may need permission from the Head of School.

Email the Risk Assesssment form to mps-pgrsupport@sussex.ac.uk at least two weeks before you travel. The risk form will remain on your file in case you need to be contacted while away.
