How do I use ArcGIS Extensions, such as Spatial Analyst?

The following ArcGIS Extensions are installed on university workstations:

  • 3D Analyst
  • ArcScan
  • Geostatistical Analyst
  • Network Analyst
  • Publisher
  • Schematics
  • Spatial Analyst
  • Tracking Analyst

To use them within an ArcGIS program:

  1. Open an ArcGIS application, such as ArcMap
  2. Click Customize in the Menu Bar
  3. Click Extensions
  4. Tick the check box on the Extension/s you want to use
  5. Click Close

You should now be able to use the extensions in the application
