Questions and answers

How do I use Productivity Suite, which is part of ArcGIS?

Productivity Suite is made up of several components. Before you can use any of them you will need to accept the Productivity Suite (Part of ArcGIS) licence agreement.

Please note that this procedure is a stipulation from ESRI (the company that produce ArcGIS).

Start ArcMap (Start > All Programs > ArcGIS > ArcMap)

Select Customize > Extentions…

Select all the extensions that you want to use, including Productivity Suite

Click Close

You will now have a Productivity tab

Click on the Productivity tab and select ProductivitySuite Explorer

Click the Licence buttton

Click the Import Licence button

In the File name box type:

\\\ITS\Applications\ESRI Patch\LicenceFile

Click on Open

To open the licence file double click on:

8946_CHEST Eduserv_Productivity Suite_1.xml

Then read and click on I accept the terms and conditions of this licence agreement

Click Close

You will then see:

Click Close

Productivity suite is now licenced for you.

Please note that you will only have to do this once, as it will be saved in your profile.
