What is a Huddle or IT Services Online Collaboration Space?

The IT Services Online Collaboration Space hosted by Huddle, provides a secure web platform to share, store and edit documents and files. The space can be used as a central library for documents, images, films and other files relating to a project and also allows collaborators to make changes to documents or upload new files as activity progresses. Changes to documents are recorded in automatic versioning and audit trails, allowing the team to monitor developments and contributions.

Team members can also brainstorm project ideas using virtual whiteboards or discussion forums and meetings can be hosted with Huddle's integrated phone and web conferencing facilities. Participants can also be kept up to date with built-in alerts and notifications.

Although a member of staff must set up and manage a project, they can invite anyone appropriate to be a part of the team, whether participants are based at Sussex or elsewhere. So the facility is a useful means of working with extended teams of external contractors or colleagues.
