The student PCs in computer rooms on the campus, including teaching PCs in lecture theatres and seminar rooms, have the following software.

SPSS Amos

Structural Equation Modeling

AMOS enables you to specify, estimate, assess and present models to show hypothesized relationships among variables. The software lets you build models more accurately than with standard multivariate statistics techniques. SPSS Amos allows you to build attitudinal and behavioral models that reflect complex relationships.

The university has a limited purpose license for AMOS; permitted use covers:

  • Teaching and studying
  • Academic research in support of above
  • Other research which is publicly funded by a registered UK charity and which will be published in the public domain.
  • Research funded by a research council who is a member of Research Councils UK which is for non-commercial purposes.

Licensed for home use; under same license conditions as above. See the ITS website for AMOS download links and licence codes (login needed).
