Different Strokes: Neurodivergent Craft Club
Friday 24 July 10:30 until 13:30
University of Sussex Campus : Arts A104 and A106
This meet-up brings together neurodivergent researchers from across the University to craft, chat and build community. Explore lino-printing, collage and zine-making in a relaxed, supportive and inclusive environment. Tea, coffee and sandwiches provided!
No experience or expertise is needed. We will be on hand to support with technique and guidance, and you can explore and experiment at your own pace. You're also welcome to bring your own craft of choice or something you are already working on.
This event builds on the success of Different Strokes: Celebrating Neurodiversity through Creativity, held earlier this year as part of the Sussex Festival of Ideas. It encourages the fostering of friendship and meaningful connection for neurodivergent researchers at Sussex.
Some sensory/self-regulation tools (tangles and noodles) and sunflower lanyards will be available. Feel free to bring your own earplugs, ear defenders, lanyards, fidget tools and sunglasses, or any other self-regulation tools you may need.
To give us an idea of numbers for catering, please book your free place via Ticket Tailor.
If you have any questions, feel free to get in touch with the event organisers, Tiffany Murphy and Rebecca Worthy, PGRs in the Faculty of Media, Arts and Humanities.
