Ethical Review

Research by staff and students may require ethical approval before the project can begin.

If you are unsure whether your project requires ethical review you can consult the following self-assessed checklist.

If your project needs ethical review you should initiate the process as soon as possible.

If you have any queries about ethical review, the School Research Ethics Officer (SREO) is Prof Peter Cheng (for MPS and E&I) http://www.sussex.ac.uk/ei/internal/research/researchgov. The University's Research Governance Officer is RGO Antony Walsh (http://www.sussex.ac.uk/staff/research/governance/contacts_sreos_committees).
