Parking passes and permits
If you are a student or member of staff, to park on campus you need either a parking permit or a pass to park.
Students pay for a parking permit upfront; staff may pay by monthly salary deduction.
A pass to park is issued free of charge and allows you to use daily using scratch cards.
Applying for a pass or permit
Log on to Sussex Direct. Choose the link for the 'Personal' page, followed by 'Transport'. After you have added your vehicle details, enter your request for a pass or permit.
All information provided to the University for the registration of your car and to obtain a parking permit or pass must be true and accurate. Responsibility for updating the information rests with you. Falsifying of information may result in withdrawal of your right to park on campus.
Your pass will be delivered to your internal campus address.
Pre-paid permits (for staff on "zero hours" contracts and for students) are available about three days working after your request has been received; you will be advised when your permit is ready for collection.
Permits are issued to expire on the following 31 August.
Passes are issued for 12 months. The expiry date is printed on the pass.
If you experience a problem, contact the Transport office on 01273 (87)6538.
All parking permits and passes remain the property of the University and may be rescinded by the Director of Estates and Facilities Management at any time.
