Schools, departments and other units can order books of 25 scratch cards for authorized visitors from the Transport office. Please supply a charge code when ordering. Note that these scratch cards are not available to individual car drivers for personal use.

Disabled permit holders

Disabled permit holders continue to be exempt from parking charges.

Motorcyclists

Motorcyclists continue to be exempt from parking charges.

Casual external users

The rate is currently £2.50 for two hours.

When parking charges apply

Parking charges apply:

  • all year - not just during term time
  • from Monday-Friday
  • between the hours of 9am and 5pm.

Where to get a scratch card

Staff and students can buy scratch cards at the following cafes:

  • Doctor's Orders, Brighton and Sussex Medical School (BSMS)
  • Eat Central, Bramber House
  • Arts Piazza cafe (Saturdays only)

Drivers can also buy scratch cards by debit and credit card - on weekdays (10am-2pm) - from the security office in York House.

Staff and student scratchcards are valid only when displayed with a free parking pass issued by the Transport Office.
