What we have recycled up to date
From August 2011 to July 2012 we recycled the following:
- 707 tonnes of paper, card, cans and plastic bottles
- 160 tonnes of glass
- 16 tonnes of metal
- 39 tonnes of confidential waste
- 25.5 tonnes of clothing
- 43 tonnes of green waste/composted waste
- 25 tonnes of wood
- 16 tonnes of waste electrical equipment
- 4 tonnes of furniture
- 8.5 tonnes of books
- 6.3 tonnes of IT equipment
- 4 tonnes of fridge/freezers
- 2 tonne of batteries
- 1.5 tonnes of printer cartridges
- 0.2 tonnes of CD's & DVD's
- 1120 litres of waste food oil
Thus reducing the amount of waste and increasing reuse, recovery and recycling.
We currently recycle/reuse 47% of our waste.
