Service Level Provision

Responsibilities of Users

Waste removal

To remove general waste from all areas of buildings to external bins

To ensure that all general waste is placed in communal bins provided and to report any matters of concern

Waste removal

To ensure that all general waste is removed from external bin locations in a controlled and timely fashion

To ensure that any waste material placed in external bins is done in a tidy manner and to call for assistance if required

Waste removal

To liaise with regulatory bodies and appropriate technical staff on special waste removal

Technical staff to abide by agreed legislation and UOS policy and procedure

Waste removal

To ensure that all staff removing waste are compliant with UOS Health & Safety procedure such as Manual Handling and that PPE is used where necessary

All staff to acknowledge all Health & Safety policy and procedure

Recycling

To ensure that recycling initiatives are communicated effectively

All staff to support and promote waste minimization and recycling

Recycling

Provision of appropriate containers for the segregation of material

To ensure that the appropriate materials are placed in the correct containers and report any incidences of contamination
