Encampment Protection
A risk assessment of vulnerable locations has highlighted the need to protect (where possible) campus grounds from the disruption and expense caused by travellers. We have split vulnerable space into low, medium or high risk areas. Works to stop access for caravans and trailers to car parks and open grounds are taken by installing or creating edge protection by means of various planting schemes. An example of completed work is the Sussex House car park where new edge protection and a single entrance and exit point was created taking advantage of pre planned resurfacing maintenance.
