Software Hub

Software Hub allows you to use programs on demand. It is available on Windows computers across campus, Sussex laptops and on your personally owned computer, with a University of Sussex login.

The list of the applications accessible from the Software Hub is available after login.


1. Open Software Hub

To use the Software Hub on a campus computer double click the Software Hub icon on the desktop.

If you don't have the icon on the desktop of the PC you are using click this link to the Software Hub web portal (opens in a new window), or type https://appsanywhere.sussex.ac.uk in your browser.

If you are using University of Sussex computer, the Software Hub client is already installed and login will be automatic.


2. Login requirements

If the Software Hub page requests login, use your University of Sussex login ID (e.g. ano123) and your password.

3. Installing AppsApywhere client

Install Cloudpaging Player

You might be asked to install AppsApywhere client on you computer.
To do that, click the Install now button and follow the instructions on your screen.

Once the installation is complete click on 'I have completed installation' button. Finish client instalation

Allow AppsAnywhere for browser


Make sure that
Always allow appsanywhere.sussex.ac.uk to open links of this type in the associated app is ticked
and click the Open AppsAnywhere Launcher button.


4. Using Software Hub

Hub page In the Software Hub, search for the application you want to use. When the app appears, click Launch. Launch button

It may take a few moments for the program to open the first time it is used on a particular computer - the process will be much quicker the next time.

To see a list of available software you can click on View all apps at the button of the page. View all apps


Favorite You can also 'favourite' apps by selecting the app and click the Favourite button.

The list of your favourite applications will appear on the Software Hub home page or can be found on the left side of the page.
