There are many systems in use at Sussex and we provide support and guidance for most of them.

Enquiries and help

We help users with most of the systems, computers and software in use at the University.


Our training courses cover much of the standard software used by staff and students, ranging from basic introduction to the services on offer at Sussex through to advanced topics in wordprocessing and spreadsheets.

Sussex Direct

The central web-based interface for University users, Sussex Direct provides information about courses, committees, budgets and personnel.

Service information

We provide information and communications for users to highlight new or changing services, advise on the current status of systems and help with common problems and tasks. The website is the principal channel, supplemented with posters, a termly newsletter, information guides and a welcome CD given to new students and staff.
