Engineering Foundation Year

This degree pathway aims to provide an alternative entry route into the Engineering Honours degrees for students who do not have the standard requirements for year 1 entry. Module information.

Progression criteria

Candidates will progress from the Engineering Foundation Year to stage 1 of an associated course where either (a) or (b) has been achieved:

(a) 120 credits, as a result of the pass mark being achieved on all modules, and a stage mean of 40% for progression onto a Bachelors and a stage mean of 55% for progression onto an integrated masters degree.

(b) 120 credits and a stage mean of 40% for progression onto a Bachelors course. This may include a maximum of 30 credits which have been automatically compensated where the standard criteria have been met. Condoned credit is not permitted.
