Curiosity for Success
Curiosity is critical for great learning. Studies show that, when we're curious about a subject, we are much more likely to remember information we learned about that subject. Curiosity pulls you into the unknown, which is where you make discoveries, develop relationships, uncover opportunities, and experience growth. While curiosity alone does not always lead to success, it's a good place to start. So, we encourage you to probe, ask, investigate, invent, explore, experiment and be enthusiastically inquisitive to foster creativity and innovation. Even if you make mistakes along the way, developing a culture where failure is accepted and even celebrated, can offer so much learning and development.
Approaching the workplace with a curious mindset can lead to better working and greater inclusion. Be curious about those colleagues who may have a different perspective from yours to help approach problems with a different frame of mind. This Linkedin Learning short video on ‘becoming more curious’ has some useful tips.
