A range of courses are offered to meet the needs of all categories of staff. Please see the links on the left for all our courses in their categories.
How do I book a place?
Always check with your line manager before you book your place. Then you can either book online, through your Sussex Direct Personal page - click on Staff Development from the drop down menu, then select Search for Scheduled Courses or Staff Development Course Listings and Booking Facility or refer to the SDU Online booking procedure.

email sdu@sussex.ac.uk to request a place on your chosen course.
If the course is full or you can't make the date, email sdu@sussex.ac.uk to be added to a waiting list.
Is there a charge for attending?
No, SDU courses are free to Sussex staff. However your unit will be charged £25 if you fail to attend a course without informing SDU within three working days of the course date by either 'phoning x 4806/3868, or sending an email to sdu@sussex.ac.uk marked 'urgent'.
