We introduce an experimentally simple method of manipulating a dressed-state qubit (a qubit that is highly resilient to decoherence). Our method allows the implementation of general rotations of the qubit on the Bloch sphere, and we demonstrate this method using a trapped ytterbium ion, published in Physical Review Letters (2 October 2013)
