Funding to support postgraduate researchers

Doctoral Overseas Conference Grant

The Doctoral Overseas Conference (DOC) travel grant supports overseas conference attendance for doctoral students at Sussex.

Applications are invited from currently registered University of Sussex doctoral researchers who do not have a Research Training Support Grant available to them, for a maximum of £1,000 per doctoral researcher over the duration of their registration. To be eligible for a Sussex Fund Doctoral Overseas Conference grant, applicants must have been accepted to present their research at an overseas conference.

The DOC grants are administered by the Doctoral School on behalf of the University, the Doctoral School may use its discretion to award less than the maximum amount.

Calls and deadlines are at approximately 4 month intervals.

The Doctoral School also subscribes to The Alternative Guide to Postgraduate Funding
