Understanding Safeguarding and Prevent – Free Qualification for University Staff

We are delighted to share a new training and development opportunity on behalf of East Sussex College Group for staff at Sussex to gain a cost-free level 2 qualification specialising in Safeguarding and Prevent Duty. This qualification would suit anyone who may work in an environment where they have a duty of care and is interested in enhancing their professional profile.

At Sussex, all members of staff play a crucial role in providing a safe environment for members of the University community. Effective safeguarding means we can protect vulnerable individuals at risk of harm, abuse, or neglect.
- Comprehensive Curriculum: Comprising of three key units, the course will help you to understand why some individuals can become vulnerable to radicalisation, learn how to recognise signs of abuse or potential harm, and explore the potential risks posed by inappropriate or illegal online activity in today’s digital age.
- Flexible Learning: With an estimated completion time of 8 to 12 weeks, the course is completely online, giving you the flexibility to study at your own convenience and speed.
- Gain Recognition: Validate your expertise by gaining a fully accredited level 2 certificate by NCFE CACHE, a well-established and nationally recognised awarding body.
